Vegetables and fruits may reduce chance of stroke
Urban people tends to consume too much high fat food and too little of vegetables and
fruits. Yet a recent research findings once again proves vegetables and fruits to be the
best source for lowering and preventing the risk of heart and vascular illnesses.
A recent report by Harvard University studies the eating habits of over 100,000 people
and found that those consuming daily an average of 6 portions of vegetables and fruits
lessens the chance of heart attack and strokes by 30%. On the contrary, those eating less
than 3 portions of vegetables and fruits have a higher risk of heart attack and strokes.
Report also states that those eating lots of vegetables such as cauliflower, cabbage,
spinach and citrus fruits can effective lower the risk of stroke. The Vitamin C and folic
acid inside these food is an effective means of prevention vascular diseases.
